Man Arrested In Lake County Road Rage Incident
The Batavia man is accused of pulling out a gun and waiving it at another driver near Wauconda Monday morning.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Batavia man faces charges in connection with a road rage incident that happened Monday morning in Lake County.
The incident was first reported at about 8:15 a.m. Monday when a driver, who was later identified as Anthony J. Delorto, wouldn't allow another driver to merge as both were headed east on Route 176 near Fairfield Road in unincorporated Wauconda, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
As both continued east, Delorto, 53, is accused of pulling out a gun and waiving it at the other driver. The driver called 911 and reported the incident.

Authorities say Delorto was spotted pulling into a business in the 18700 block of North Route 83 in unincorporated Mundelein. Mundelein Police Department officers responded and took Delorto, of the 1400 block of Challenge Road in Batavia, into custody.
A pistol was found in his vehicle, according to authorities. Delorto has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

He was processed at the Lake County Jail and released after posting a $1,500 recognizance bond. Delorto is due back in court on March 28.
