LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The District 70 Board of Education voted 5-2 Monday in favor of no longer requiring masks for staff, visitors and students.

"While there will be people in our community who will be happy with the board’s decision, there also will be those who will not be happy. That is to be expected," according to a statement from District 70. "We must all continue to model civility, kindness, and respect on behalf of our greatest natural resource–our children–and expect the same from them during this time of transition."
