Masked Man, Woman Armed With AK-47 Rob Gurnee Bank: FBI

The bank robbery happened Monday morning at Norstate Bank in Gurnee.

GURNEE, IL – Armed with an AK-47 , a man and woman donned red face masks and robbed a bank in Gurnee on Monday, authorities said. The two suspects are accused of entering Norstate Bank, at 5384 Grand Avenue in Gurnee, at 10:55 a.m. The duo got away in a blue 2015 to 2018 Nissan Rogue, according to a news release from the FBI.

The first suspect, a white female, is described as being 5-feet, 6-inches to 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. She carried a black duffel bag and wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and a red face mask, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

A second suspect is described as a white male who was 6-feet tall and weighed 175 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black Jordan shoes with a red sole, and a red face mask, authorities said.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of these unknown suspects. The robbers should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
