January 29, 2016 - Chinese economist and university professor, Dr. Dongsheng Di will examine the economic reforms being initiated by Chinese President Xi Jinping and discuss the implications for that nation and other of the world’s economies. Dr. Di is an Associate Professor on International Political Economics with the School of International Studies at Remnin University of China. His research covers topics such as the politics and economics of global currency and financial issues, as well as Chinese foreign economic relations.

Since 2011, Dr. Di has served as Vice Director of the Remnin Center for China’s Foreign Strategy Studies, a university based think tank which provides comprehensive and innovative policy suggestions to the decision makers in Beijing. He is the author of the upcoming book “The Middle Way of the Middle Kingdom, A Political and Economic Read on President Xi’s Ongoing Reform.” Dr. Di is also on the process of researching and writing a biography of President Xi. He is currently on a one year stay as a visiting researcher at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
