New Greek Restaurant to Open in Long-Vacant Venue

Greek Feast will open on the north end of Libertyville.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL - A venue that has sat vacant for two years in Libertyville could soon become home to a new Greek restaurant. The Vlhakis family, which owns Greek Feast in Northbrook, is planning to open a second location in Libertyville by this fall, the Daily Herald reports. The family is currently working to update the highly-visible building at 1124 N. Milwaukee Ave., which is just north of Winchester Road, that was formerly occupied by Slott's Hots.

Exterior and interior upgrades are planned for the building, according to the Daily Herald. When the restaurant opens, it would serve classic Greek street food made from family recipes, Peter Vlhakis told the newspaper. This would include gyros, spanakopita, feta fries and souvlaki.
