Free Exhibit Series: Beth McKenna “Paintings and Woodblock Prints”

Join Beth McKenna for a special Exhibit Preview on Thursday, November 6th from noon – 6:00pm. This is unique opportunity to meet the artist and preview pieces for sale.

A free opening reception will be held on Friday, November 7th, from 6-9pm at the David Adler Music & Arts Center.

Beth McKenna’s entrancing woodblocks, prints, and paintings reflect her intention to express relationships of color, light and form. “I love the outdoors” she says, “and try to capture the beauty of the places I find most captivating: the Mountains, the Beach, the Rural Midwest.”

Visit “Beth McKenna: Paintings and Woodblock Prints” through November 29th at the David Adler Center, Mon-Thurs from 9am-9pm, Saturdays from 9am-2pm.

Concert Series: Nanae Fujiwara, Classical Guitar

On Saturday, November 15th, at 7pm, the Adler Center’s Concert Series will present Nanae Fujiwara: Classical Guitar.

Travel from Germany to Paraguay with Nanae Fujiwara: join the delightful Ms. Fujiwara for a musical tour of Baroque Germany, Classical and Romantic Spain, and the exciting dance music of Latin America featuring the music of J.S. Bach, Sor, Tarrega, Barrios, Lauro, and Brouwer.

Ms. Fujiwara is a graduate of the Northeastern Illinois University School of Music, and Guitar Department Chair at the Adler Center. She was a semi-finalist in the 2013 International Wilson Guitar Competition.
