Officer Accused Of Sexually Abusing Woman While On Duty: Officials
The former Lake County Sheriff's Office deputy has been placed on unpaid leave from the Park City Police Department, faces charges.
A Park City police officer has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies after authorities say he sexually abused a woman while on duty, according to Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
Officials said the allegations stem from incidents during traffic stops, where the officer, Patrick Cacho, is accused of engaging in criminal conduct with a woman on more than one occasion, the Lake & McHenry County Scanner is reporting. Police said the department was notified of the allegations in January, immediately placed the officer on unpaid leave and requested an independent investigation by the Illinois State Police.
Cacho has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, aggravated battery, official misconduct and criminal sexual abuse, according to the media report.
