Oscar Lee's BBQ Opens In Former Milwalky Trace Location
Milwalky Trace closed in April and the owners reopened the restaurant as Oscar Lee's Barbecue Last Week.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – The owners of the recently shuttered Milwalky Trace have reopened a new barbecue restaurant in its place. Oscar Lee's Barbecue opened in the Milwalky Trace location, 603 N. Milwaukee Avenue, on May 22. The opening comes just over a month after the popular Milwalky Trace closed.
Owner Lee Kuebler told Patch in April that he is hopeful to reopen Milwalky Trace at some point in a larger location in Libertyville but was still working to secure that space.
As for Oscar Lee's Barbecue, the restaurant offers a family-friendly feel and serves up Texas-style. There is a full-service bar, dining room, curbside carry-out and catering.

"Chef Lee Kuebler’s flirtation with central texas-style barbecue has flowered into a full-blown obsession with tender prime brisket, juicy pulled pork and ribs so delicate they’re barely clinging to the bone," according to the Oscar Lee Barbecue website.
A full menu can be found on the restaurant's website.
