Man Taken to Hospital With Serious Head Injury Following Motorcycle Crash
The crash happened in unincorporated Lake Villa Tuesday afternoon.

A 25-year-old man was seriously injured when his motorcycle collided Tuesday afternoon with a van on Route 45 at Rollins Road in unincorporated Lake Villa, police said.
The crash happened at 3:15 p.m. when a 2015 Ford van driven by an 18-year-old was traveling north on Route 45 and turned left onto westbound Rollins Road in front of a 2004 Yamaha Motorcycle, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Detective Christopher Covelli said. The 25-year-old driver of the motorcycle was ejected.
He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The motorcyclist was taken to Condell Hospital with a serious head injury. The driver of the van was not injured.
Covelli no citations have been issued as of Wednesday morning. The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigation Unit.
