Labor Day Weekend Weather: Rain Saturday, Temps In The 80s For IL

ILLINOIS — Rain is possible Friday night and Saturday, but the rest of Labor Day weekend looks dry and sunny, according to the National Weather Service.
Showers will move into the Chicago area on Friday afternoon, with a low chance of storms southwest of Chicago, according to the weather service. Scattered showers may stick around into Saturday, ending by Saturday night. Saturday has a high of 77 degrees.
The remaining days of the weekend will be dry, with a high of 82 on both Sunday and Monday, the weather service said.

Although temperatures will be more comfortable this weekend, the weather service said August 2021 ended as the sixth-warmest August on record for Chicago. The weather service said the average temperature was 77.1 degrees, which is 3.3 degrees above normal. Chicago also received 4.51 inches of precipitation, which is .26 inches above normal.
