Semi Taking Curve 'Too Fast' Tips Over On I-94, Snarls Traffic: Police
The semi truck driver was not injured in the collision near Gurnee earlier this week.
A semi-truck driver escaped injury Monday after his tractor-trailer rolled over while negotiating a ramp from westbound Route 120 to eastbound I-94 near Gurnee.
Illinois State Police said the truck was traveling too fast for the curve before overturning onto its driver’s side and partially blocking I-94. The driver got out of the truck before first responders arrived and declined medical transport, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
The ramp and right lane of I-94 remained closed until about 5:30 p.m., causing significant traffic delays.
