Semi Truck Collides With Bridge Near Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A semi truck hauling a steal tank struck a curb and then hit the bottom of a bridge for Metro trains on Route 45 near Libertyville, officials said.

A spokesman for the Lake County Sheriff's Office told the Daily Heraldthe truck was headed north on Route 45when the collision occurred and brought the truck to a stop. Two other vehicles, a Chevy SUV and a Subaru hatchback, then collided with the truck.

No one was injured in the collision and officials inspected the bridge after the truck was extracted from beneath it, according to the Daily Herald.
