Senior Housing Planned For Vacant Commercial Building Site
Village officials in Libertyville are considering the proposal to bring an affordable senior housing community to 500 Peterson Road.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Village officials in Libertyville are considering a proposal to build an affordable senior residential community along Peterson Road.
The plan calls for building a three-story residential facility for people 55 years old and older where a long-vacant commercial building currently stands at 500 Peterson Road. Eve B. Lee Place, if approved by the village and Illinois Housing Development Authority, could also house about 8,000 square feet of office space for the Libertyville-based non-profit Community Partners for Affordable Housing, the Daily Herald is reporting.
The project is named for an affordable housing advocate, Lee, who grew up in Libertyville and is the founding board member of the Affordable Housing Corporation, according to the article.
