SEX OFFENDER MAP: Homes To Watch In Libertyville This Halloween

Libertyville currently has seven registered sex offenders listed on the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

Six live in the community, and one is unaccounted for.

Missing sex predator James T. Peery, 39, was convicted in Texas for public indecency and lewd exposure. He was 29 and his victim was eight at time of the offense. Authorities say that Peery failed to maintain accurate registration records as required by law.

Registered sex offenders are prohibited from passing out candy on Halloween. They may not appear in a Halloween costume or other child-centered holiday character, such as Santa or the Easter Bunny, in public. Registered sex offenders, however, may wear a Halloween costume in their home, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.
