Shooter Opened Fire At Vehicles Stopped At Red Light: Police
The Lake County Sheriff's Office is searching for the shooter following the incident that left one with minor injuries.
WADSWORTH, IL — Authorities are searching for a person accused of opening fire at the intersection of Route 173 and Delany Road in Wadsworth Tuesday afternoon.
One person was hit by a bullet that went through the front windshield of a vehicle and grazed the top of their head, police said. The person suffered minor injuries and was taken to Condell Medical Center.
Authorities say witnesses at the scene of the shooting saw a silver or blue Honda sedan traveling west on Route 173 when a person inside the vehicle fired two to three rounds at vehicles that were stopped at a red light on Delany Road south of Route 173 at about 4:15 p.m.

A single shell casing, which appears to have come from a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, was found at the scene, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
At this time, the incident does not appear to be targeted, police said.
