Speak Out on Future of Libertyville at May 9 Forum

The village encourages residents, businesses and property owners of all ages to attend the Speak-Out to share their thoughts.

From the Village of Libertyville: The Comprehensive Plan Review Committee and The Lakota Group will hold the Second Community Speak-Out on the update to the Village Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, May 9, at the Libertyville Civic Center, 135 W. Church.

The Speak-Out is an Open House forum with doors open from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The Village encourages residents, businesses and property owners of all ages to attend the Speak-Out to share their thoughts on the future of the Village.

“We had a great turnout at the first Speak-Out and look forward to an even larger crowd at the next event”, stated Nick Kalogeresis, Associate Principal with The Lakota Group.

The Speak Out will consist of numerous work stations that include Community Arts and Culture, Sustainable Systems, Liveable Neighborhoods, Revitalized Corridors and a Vibrant Downtown. The Comprehensive Plan is the guiding document that outlines important policies and strategies that the Village will use to evaluate, prioritize, and approve future improvements throughout the community.
