Special Gifts Theatre Adult Students Shine on Stage!

LOCAL STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PARTICIPATE IN SPECIAL GIFTS THEATRE PERFORMANCE OF “Snow White, The Musical”

All proceeds of this musical production to benefit this local nonprofit organization serving students with special needs.

Suburban and Chicago students with Special Gifts Theatre (SGT), a not-for-profit organization providing children and adults with special needs access to an educational and therapeutic drama experience, will present “Snow White, The Musical” at The Skokie School, located at 520 Glendale Avenue in Winnetka on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm/doors open at 1:30 pm. Fun for the whole family!

SGT works to enrich the lives of children and adults with intellectual disabilities through its unique drama experience and out-of-school programming. The stage is used as a platform for students to further develop social skills, improve speech and language development and increase self-confidence.

Participating students in this particular program and production are ages 18+ and have been rehearsing for this production since March, learning their roles, enabling personal growth, promoting creativity, while improving social skills, speech, and emotional literacy skills.

SGT strives to shine the spotlight on the creativity of our students, while improving social skills, speech, and emotional literacy skills while at the same time developing life-long skills. Each of our productions showcases to the community the abilities every student in our program has.

Tickets for the performances are $10 if ordered in advance, or $12 at the door. Children five and under are free. All ticket sales support the experiential learning programs Special Gifts Theatre offers to youth and adults with special needs.
