Successful Container Gardens

Learn how to select, plant, and maintain that perfect container for your doorstep, patio or deck. We will cover what you need to know about container gardening - identifying your location, selecting the right soil, finding the perfect container, and choosing the most beautiful plants. We will discuss texture, scale, proportion, shape, balance, and color. When you leave this class, you will have the knowledge to design and maintain the perfect containers for your outdoor space using annuals, perennials, herbs and vegetables. Plants, containers and other materials will be provided for demonstration. A $10 material fee is included in the tuition. Gold Card Fee: $24. Tuition: $30. Class meets on Thursday from 7:00–9:00 PM on May 5 at Libertyville High School. Registration is required.
