Thank You to North Milwaukee Walgreens

On Friday, we picked up the first load of a couple of hundreds of pounds of candy. A very special thank to store manager,Lavona Russo and AJ and Rachel sales leaders at Walgreens, as well as their corporate office who decided not to throw away all the Halloween candy but to share with others. AJ helped
load the car on Friday night with the first half of our biggest donation that was distributed through the St. Basil Church of Mettawa, Food Drive that runs for 365days of every year. Rachel helped us unload the crates on Saturday and then reload full ones for a second load of perishable things. The candy was then distributed to the Ronald McDonald House in Chicago, the Buffalo Grove Food Pantry, an area residential/program home, and a Chicago church with a food program to feed the needy. A big shout out to Walgreens for their generosity to share a little sweetness with many charitable organizations. THANKS WALGREENS!
