LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Before the town’s cutest witches and goblins take to Libertyville streets in search of Halloween’s sweetest bounty, it’s a good idea for parents to check out what Mother Nature has in store for our community’s annual trick-or-treating festivities.

Trick-or-treating in Libertyville is planned for 4 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. Considering the event is just days away, there’s a good chance you might want to plan ahead and bring extra umbrellas on your neighborhood trek.

As you head out on the evening of Halloween, Accuweather is predicting temps to reach a high of 55 degrees on Oct. 31 in Libertyville and a low of 38 degrees. According to Accuweather, in the afternoon, cloudy skies with a couple of showers are possible. There is a 30 percent chance for rain and a 9 percent chance for thunderstorms.
