Two Libertyville Brothers Place Fourth at Dancing Championship

Tyler and Ian Schwartz both placed fourth at the North American Irish Dancing Championships.

Two Libertyville brothers recently won fourth place at the North American Irish Dancing Championships.

Tyler Schwartz, 20, placed fourth out of 28 competitors. Ranked third in the world, Tyler’s talents have taken him overseas multiple times. Immediately after the nationals, he boarded a plane to perform with Trinity at the Festival of Cuidad Real in Spain, representing the United States at the international cultural festival.

Ian Schwartz, 13, took fourth place out of 32 competitors. .

“There’s a really great dynamic between Tyler and Ian. Despite being in school, Tyler takes the time to help Ian with his steps to improve," said Natalie Howard, academy director and teacher. "Tyler is an incredible dancer and a great role model. Ian has his strengths as well, including having a great rapport with his fellow dancers.”
