United Way of Lake County Harnesses the Power of Women's Philanthropy with its upcoming WLC 'Wine & Learn'

LAKE COUNTY, IL (August 12, 2015)-United Way of Lake County’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) is pleased to announce its upcoming ‘Wine & Learn’ event on Wednesday, September 09, at a members’ residence in Lake Forest from 5.00-6.30 pm as a way to introduce prospective members to the group and expand our reach in Lake County. Promising to be an fun, informal and low-key gathering, please join us to learn how this amazing group of women, the Women’s Leadership Council is mobilizing leaders and resources to ensure children living in Lake County’s most vulnerable communities are prepared for Kindergarten and ready to succeed.

The Women’s Leadership Council is a group of more than 75 accomplished women in Lake County dedicated to making a difference through volunteerism, philanthropy and leadership development. Made up of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, retirees, teachers, legislative leaders, government officials, stay-at-home moms, serial volunteers and nonprofit executives, we unite to solve problems facing our community, connect with interesting and amazing women outside our traditional circles and join a nationally recognized group of dedicated female philanthropists.
