Waste Management Rolls Out Convenient Home Generated Special Materials Collection
Wauconda residents to receive home collection services

Wauconda, IL – Jan. 26, 2016 – Waste Management of Illinois, Inc. and Wauconda has launched a new service, At Your Door Special Collection™, a convenient home collection service to help residents safely dispose of home generated special materials.
An enhancement of the Village’s regular recycling and garbage collection service, Waste Management’s At Your Door™ service provides a safe and easy alternative for removing unwanted household materials, such as electronics, garden chemicals, household and vehicle batteries, fluorescent lamps, automotive products (including motor oil) and paint products that are potentially hazardous to people, pets and the environment. The program allows residents to schedule an appointment to have the materials safely collected from their home. This program is available to Wauconda residents at no additional charge provided they have a current account with Waste Management.
“The Village is excited to start the year with offering our residents this new service providing a convenient and economical way for our residents to dispose of electronics and household hazardous waste,” said Brad Fink, Director of Public Works for the Village of Wauconda.
