Woman Charged In DUI Crash That Killed Two
The four-vehicle collision occurred Sunday night in Waukegan.
WAUKEGAN, IL — A man and woman are dead after a Waukegan woman allegedly drove drunk and collided with their vehicle Sunday night in Waukegan, according to the Lake County News-Sun. Letisia C. Delgadillo, 39, is being held on a $1 million bail following a hearing Tuesday. She is charged with one count of aggravated driving under the influence resulting in death, a Class 2 felony that carries a sentence of three to seven years in prison and driving under the influence of alcohol, a Class A misdemeanor, which carries a possible sentence of up to a year in jail, according to the article.
The four-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Grand and Baldwin avenues in Waukegan at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Delgadillo, 39, is accused of running a red light while westbound on Grand and colliding with a vehicle occupied by a 42-year-old Waukegan man and 41-year-old woman from Mexico, who was living and working in Waukegan, the Lake County News-Sun reports.

No one else was injured in the collision. The identities of the two killed in the crash have not yet been released.
Delgadillo is next expected in court on Friday.
