Woman Tries To Skip Out On Bill, Bites Bar Staff: Police

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A woman who tried to skip out on her bill at a Libertyville bar bit customers and staff who tried to stop her from leaving, authorities said.

Christina Romero, 34, of the 800 block of North Edinburgh Court in Round Lake, now faces three counts of battery in connection with the Feb. 4 incident at Morgan's Bar and Grill, 532 N. Milwaukee Avenue, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.

Romero and another person are accused of trying to leave the bar at 11:08 p.m. on Feb. 4 without paying their bill. Romero punched one of the staff members in the face when they tired to prevent her from leaving and told her to pay up, according to the police report.

When other customers and employees intervened, Romero bit several of them, according to authorities.

She was arrested, charged with three counts of battery and released from custody after signing a $2,500 personal recognizance bond.
