Woman Uses Bat To Damage Vehicle At Libertyville Gas Station
The 57-year-old Libertyville woman was taken into custody following the incident at a Shell gas station in Libertyville.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 57-year-old Libertyville woman faces a criminal damage to property charge for allegations she used a baseball bat to damage a vehicle at a gas station last month.
The Libertyville Police Department was called to the Shell gas station, 109 S. Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, at about 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 28 for the reported incident. Authorities say the victim in the incident told police the woman confronted him while he was stopped in front of a home not far from the gas station.
He left the area, heading toward the Shell gas station, and the woman followed him. She then confronted him with a baseball bat and struck his vehicle with the bat, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.

The woman, who police later identified as Alberta Price, 57, then left the gas station, according to the police report. Police found her at her home in the 100 block of Sunnyside Place and took her into custody, authorities said.
She was released after signing a personal recognizance bond. She is next expected in court on Sept. 21.
