Your Guide to Dickens of a Holiday in Libertyville

Dickens of a Holiday will be Dec. 1 and 8.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL – A Dickens of a Holiday will get underway in Libertyville this weekend. The holiday event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, and will return again on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here is a look at this year's schedule of events for the fest in downtown Libertyville:

  • Photos with Santa in Cook Park: Santa will be in town from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. December 1 and 8. You can visit Santa in his sleigh and have your picture taken. Donations to MainStreet appreciated.
  • Visit the Children’s Holiday Shoppe at Petranek’s Pharmacy in their community room. Children can purchase gifts for their family with the help of Santa’s Elves. No adults are allowed inside while the children shop for their loved ones. Items are priced up to $6.
  • Victorian Tea: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Lawrence Episcopal Church. Call the MainStreet office at 847-680-0336 for reservations. Donations of non-perishable food items for Libertyville Township food pantry are appreciated.
  • Ansel B. Cook Museum Tours will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 1 and Dec. 8.
