Your Guide To Little Bear Ribfest
The festivities will take place on Friday and Saturday at Century Park in Vernon Hills. Here's what you need to know if you go.

VERNON HILLS, IL — The popular Little Bear Ribfest will be returning for its 12th year in Vernon Hills this weekend.
The festivities will get underway on Friday and continue Saturday at Century Park, 1001 Lakeview Parkway.
Those stopping out can enjoy entertainment from blues musicians while also taste testing ribs and side dishes from various restaurants that will be serving up their fan favorites at this year's fest. Smokin BBQ, Brothers BBQ, City Barbecue, Jameson's Charhouse, BBQ'd Productions Bar & Grill and Boonie Mac Shack will all be at this year's event.

A bourbon bar will be back this year and there will also be a beer tent set up at the fest, according to the festival's website.

Friday
7 p.m.: Funky Mojo Daddy
9 p.m.: Kevin Purcell & the Nightburners
Saturday
5 p.m.: Brandon Santini
7 p.m.: Wayne Baker Brooks
9 p.m.: Bernard Allison
Those stopping out should make sure to bring their lawn chairs to set up along the shores of Little Bear Lake so they have a place to sit and take in all the sights and sounds.
Tickets are $5 for individuals who over the age of 5 years old, and proceeds from Little Bear Ribfest support the Vernon Hills Park District’s family scholarship fund.
