The 1st annual artfest Michigan Avenue arrives in downtown Chicago, infusing a creative spirit along Michigan Avenue at the base of the iconic Chicago Tribune building overlooking the Chicago River on Friday, July 10th (10 a.m.-7 p.m.), July 11th (10 a.m.- 7 p.m.) and Sunday, July 12th (10 a.m.-5 p.m.).
“Chicago produces more than 400 neighborhood festivals each year, using the City as a backdrop to showcase various forms of cultural entertainment—music, art and food—from all over the region, nation and world.” says Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions. “We’re proud to introduce artfest Michigan Avenue to the City’s bustling Magnificent Mile, amongst endless shopping, international cuisine, top rated hotels, lively entertainment, majestic architecture and natural beauty at every turn.
Free and open to the public, artfest Michigan Avenue will showcase the work of 100-juried artists from across the country in a variety of mediums, including paintings, glass, ceramics, photography and furniture. In addition to the incredible artwork available for purchase, attendees will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats.
