2 Charged With String Of Robberies In Lincoln Park
Police charged a man and woman in connection with three North Side robberies.

CHICAGO, IL — A man and woman have been charged after a string of robberies Tuesday in Lincoln Park. The two were arrested the same night in the 1100 block of West Fullerton Avenue, police said.
Walter Porter and Amanda Brown, both 22, of the 500 block of Clyde Avenue in Calumet City, were arrested at 10:22 p.m. after being identified as the suspects in a robbery around 20 minutes earlier, according to police. A man and woman were robbed in the 2600 block of North Bosworth, police said.
After a brief chase, Porter and Brown were taken into custody and a handgun and bag of property was found on the pair, according to police.

After further investigation, police said they found the pair also robbed a man around 8:30 in the 1800 block of West Berenice Avenue, and another man around 9:32 p.m. in the 2800 block of North Greenview Avenue.
Porter and Brown were each charged with four felony counts of robbery armed with a firearm. Porter was also charged with felony counts of resisting an officer and unlawful use of a weapon, police said.

One of the offenders pulled away from an officer during a field interview, causing the officer to fall and fracture their hip, police said.
Porter and Brown were scheduled to appear in bond court Thursday.
