7 Victims Robbed At Gunpoint In Lake View, Lincoln Park

In each robbery, two men with a gun went up to people and stole their property before running away, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — At least seven people were robbed at gunpoint in less than two hours in Lincoln Park and Lake View early Friday morning, police said. In each robbery, two men went up to victims with a gun and stole items, according to police.

The first theft happened around 2 a.m. in the 600 block of West Arlington Place, police said. Two men were walking in an alley when the offenders stole their wallets and cell phones at gunpoint, according to police.

A few minutes later, a woman and two men were robbed while walking in the 900 block of West School Street, police said. The offenders took their cellphones, police said.

Then around 2:50 a.m., a man was attacked in the 3800 block of North Pine Grove Avenue, according to police. Two men stole his wallet and phone at gunpoint, and then hit the victim on the head with the gun, police said.

Around 15 minutes later, a man was walking his dog in the 3300 block of North Lake Shore Drive when his phone was also stolen at gunpoint, police said.

Police said the offenders fled in a dark Cadillac SUV.

No one was in custody. The investigation was ongoing.
