Anne of Green Gables coming to Provision Theater this spring

Beloved by children around the world, literary classic ”Anne of Green Gables” is coming to Provision Theater for Young Audiences this spring.

Based on the best-selling novel by author Lucy Maud Montgomery and directed by Provision’s Artistic Director Timothy Gregory, this world-premiere adaptation comes to the stage at Provision Theater starting March 14.

The Cuthberts expect to adopt a boy, but are in for quite a surprise when clever young Anne Shirley steps off the train at Avonlea. Despite her fiery spirit and penchant for getting into trouble, Anne still manages to get into the hearts of every person she meets. It’s a heartwarming story for the whole family.

“This book’s popularity is a testament to the character of Anne Shirley herself because she reminds us that no matter how difficult life can get, all things are possible with ‘enough scope for the imagination’ and the faith to believe, and of course, love,“ says Provision‘s Artistic Director Timothy Gregory. “These are traits that can exist in all of us, and in every part of the world.”

This heartwarming 60-minute performance for young audiences is family-friendly and recommended for ages 8 and up.

Saturdays 12pm and 3 pm; Sundays 3 pm
There will be no performance on Sunday, April 5.

Tickets: $10 for children 12 and under; $15 for adults. Groups of 10 or more receive 10% off same ticket type. Includes FREE Parking.

The cast of Anne of Green Gables features Mary-Margaret Roberts as Anne Shirley, Deanna Boyd as Marilla Cuthbert, and Mike Rogalski as Matthew Cuthbert.
