Flamenco Arts Center nurturing the art of flamenco in Chicago getting back to the roots, the rhythms and cante.
Antonio Mesa will give a workshop on musical language and its important role common to all instruments (guitar, percussion, piano, winds, and strings), dance, and singing. The workshop will focus on the study of basic rhythms and their evolutions, as well as the importance of musical conclusions, proper melodic phrasing, the dominant chord, the major and minor modes, different styles of accompaniment, and harmonic development.
