Art On Clark Returns To Lincoln Park With Opening Party

Art lovers are invited to a free gathering that includes a self-guided tour highlighting ten sculptures in the neighborhood.

CHICAGO, IL — Lincoln Park’s popular public program Art on Clark is back for another year. Organizers are hosting a free opening night party to kick off the event and celebrate local talent. The gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gaslight Bar, 2450 N. Clark.

Guests are invited to pick up an event passport at Gaslight Bar, which includes a self-guided tour highlighting all ten sculptures along Diversey Parkway and Clark Street in Lincoln Park. People can also enjoy a free drink and quick bite.

Art on Clark features ten eye-catching sculptures by local artists. The self-guided tour will highlight the history and inspiration behind the art. The tour can be accessed through the Otocast app, which is available from the App Store or the Google Play store. Tickets are required for the event.

Kim Schilf, president and CEO of the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce, said public art is a priority in the neighborhood.

"We’re thrilled to display local artists in our neighborhood which elevates the experience of our residents, visitors and businesses," she said.
