The Associate Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem Celebrates "Once Upon a Time" at 11th Annual Benefit

Guests enjoyed a festive and fun-filled evening while supporting NorthShore's Department of Pediatrics and the Infant Special Care Unit.

The Auditorium Library at Roosevelt University, overlooking the city’s beautiful moonlit Grant Park, served as an idyllic setting for The Associate Board of NorthShore University HealthSystem’s (NorthShore) 11th Annual Benefit: “Once Upon a Time.” More than 250 members, friends and supporters of The Associate Board of NorthShore attended the fundraising event, which took place on Saturday evening, October 24.

A silent auction, raffle and fun interactive “wine toss” game kicked off the evening’s festivities. Auction items included signed sports memorabilia, gift certificates to some of Chicago’s favorite restaurants, and luxurious spa treatments. Gourmet appetizers, creative cocktails, and a decadent dessert buffet kept guests feasting and feting all evening while dancing to the sounds of The Personnel, one of Chicago’s most entertaining cover bands.

Thanks to attendees and the evening’s generous sponsors, including Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, the event raised $60,000. All proceeds from the Benefit will be directed to several programs within the Department of Pediatrics at NorthShore and the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU) at NorthShore Evanston Hospital. Supported programs include a Personalized Medicine research study focused on post-partum depression in new mothers headed by Pablo Gejman, M.D. and the Associate Board Emergency Family Fund, which assists families of children in the ISCU who are experiencing severe economic difficulties.
