“Awaken Chicago” is a three-day event aimed at the long-term goal of changing the conditions causing inequality and violence in Chicago, starting from the radical viewpoint of everyone’s inherent goodness. The event runs from Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1, at the University of Chicago in Hyde Park.
Throughout the weekend thought leaders and community activists will cover topics from community building to healing racism; from gun violence to environmental justice; and from yoga to centering prayer. CEU’s for those with LCSW, LCPC, LSW, and LPC licensure will be available for all of the workshops and many of the speakers.
Date: Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1
