Brown Line Service Restored After 'Suspicious Package' Investigation

Suspicious packages found at Sedgwick stop in Old Town found not to be hazardous.

Chicago, IL - Full service on the CTA Brown Line is back Thursday afternoon after it was closed due to reports of "suspicious packages" near the line's Sedgwick Station in Old Town.

Police were alerted to the two packages shortly after 11 a.m., but after an investigation found that they only contained clothing and toiletries, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Stops that were affected were in between The Loop and the North Side.
