Over / Under is Chicago’s newest sports bar and it has a truly unique point of difference from other sports bars. Over / Under is a local neighborhood pub in Lincoln Park, but it has the atmosphere of a Las Vegas sportsbook. The bar has everything you would see in a casino including up to the minute odds, scores, team and player information, 80 feet of live sports news tickers, and more. Oh, it also has dozens of large screen TVs throughout the bar.
What is doesn’t have is an employee standing by to take your bets. If a patron is inclined to gamble, they simply use the app on their phone. If they choose not to gamble, they can enjoy cocktails and a burger and watch sports from all over the world – without the aggravation of losing money.
“We are truly unique,” says owner ed Barry. “Wagering on sports has changed so much in the last few years,” he said. If you have an app on your phone, you’re good to go. But most people who bet are going to be looking to do a lot of research first. That’s what we provide. Enjoy a craft beer at the bar while you’re checking out the odds and other information and then make the bet on your phone, right from your seat. It’s a new world.” Over / Under isn’t exclusively for bettors either. “This is a neighborhood pub, with a wide variety of craft beers and cocktails and really good, elevated bar food,” Barry said.
