Care For Friends Certifies 11 Food Service Sanitation Managers
Non-profit which will serve homeless 12,000 hot meals adds 11 volunteers to their list of licensed food service sanitation managers.

As part of their mission to provide easy access to community, food and overall wellness for Chicago’s most vulnerable and under-served people, Care For Friends will serve over 12,000 hot meals to homeless guests in the coming year.
With a focus on providing these services in a safe atmosphere of dignity and respect, the organization maintains a roster of volunteers who are licensed food service sanitation managers - at least one of whom is on-site to supervise the preparation and service of each meal. This summer, the organization is pleased to announce that 11 new volunteers have passed the rigorous food safety test.
"We place top priority on maintaining and improving the health and safety of guests in our programs," said JD Miller, President of the Care For Friends' Board of Directors. "That's why we think it's so important to continue to ensure that our volunteer leaders are licensed in food service and sanitation techniques that will protect our already-vulnerable guests."
