Chicago Police Identify Injured 'John Doe'

Photo: Chicago Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man found with a severe head injury August 9, 2015 on the North Side.

Chicago police have identified a man who was found injured in the 1200 block of West Granville Avenue on August 9.

Witnesses told police that the man appeared to be having trouble walking. He was seen stumbling and then falling, striking his head on the sidewalk.

The man is now unconscious at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Chicago police were able to get in touch with his family, who have been reunited with their family member.

Police did not give the man’s name except to say that he has been identified since his picture was released late Tuesday afternoon.
