Chicagoland Methodist Senior Services: Keeping Your Hips Healthy

Orthopedic issues are a natural – albeit, irritating – part of the aging process that many older adults may not fully understand. Bones tend to get weaker as we age, unfortunately increasing the risks for falls and serious hip injuries. Because bone health is a serious issue, many seniors tend to have questions related to it.

Chicagoland Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) is excited to host this informative event featuring Dr. Terry Younger, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Swedish Medical Group, as he discusses the wide variety of issues that may cause hip pain, including arthritis, tendinitis, fractures, and more.

"We're happy to be able to offer seniors an opportunity to hear from a local expert on hip health," says Allie Follmer, Community Liaison at CMSS. "Dr. Younger's knowledge of joint and orthopedics are sure to make this class helpful to anyone who has experienced hip issues or wants to take preventive measures to keep them from happening in the first place."
