CrossTown Fitness Hits the Pavement with New Weekend Total Body "Excursion Runs"

Spring is here and CrossTown Fitness invites running enthusiasts to take their workout outside.

Spring is here and CrossTown Fitness invites running enthusiasts to take their workout outside during the gyms’ latest Total Body Excursion Runs. The West Loop and Northside locations are pairing together the warmer weather and high intensity interval training by taking their 50-minute weekend morning classes outside for running sessions through the city.

The Excursion Runs, open to non-members and members, are running intensive with 70% running plus a total body workout using body weight exercises. Attendees can gather at either CTF location and will be running a minimum of 3 miles around the city along with Trainer/Personal Trainer and endurance athlete Tori Karsten.

Following the run, the class will continue the outdoor workout with exercises like triceps dips pushups, split squats and burpees plus cool down and stretching. Runners are encouraged to dress weather appropriate including athletic wear that wicks away sweat.
