Dog Looking For Loving Home: Lincoln Park PAWS

CHICAGO, IL -- An energetic two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer mix is looking for an adoptive family through PAWS Chicago. Schatzi is about as friendly as they come and absolutely adores any adults who have the good fortune of being introduced to her. While losing her previous family was very hard on Schatzi, PAWS is committed to finding her the perfect new home.

Schatzi loves walks and pretty much any other type of physical activity. She is very treat motivated and enjoys practicing her obedience training. Although she is social with other dogs, Schatzi tends to guard her food and toys closely and will need to be the only pet in the home.

Schatzi is part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured 5 adoption program. If you adopt through the program, you'll receive:

• Free Merrick Pet Care or PAWS prescribed cat or dog food for one year
• Free 30-day supply of existing medications
• Free training consultation with a PAWS Chicago trainer or recommended behaviorist (for dog adoptions only)

Schatzi becomes agitated when left alone and will need an adopter who isn't gone for long periods of time. She'll be perfect for a quiet, adults-only household and an adopter who is committed to continuing her training.
