Elizabeth Robbin receives prestigious Jewish Federation award

Elizabeth Robbin has received the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago's 31st annual Samuel A. Goldsmith Young Professional Award.

Elizabeth Robbin has received the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago’s 31st annual Samuel A. Goldsmith Young Professional Award.

The honor, presented at the Federation’s Sept. 13 Annual Meeting, highlights the achievements of early-career professionals whose exemplary performance at a local Jewish agency has benefited the entire Jewish community.

Robbin is the director of Camp Firefly, an overnight program for campers with autism and other related social disorders. Camp Firefly is a partnership of Jewish Child & Family Services and JCC Camp Chi.

In addition to working at Camp Firefly, Liz has been a speech-language pathologist for more than 12 years. She also serves on the Camp Chi Alumni Committee, and was a member of the Anti-Defamation League's Glass Leadership Institute.

In 2016, Liz was named one of Chicago's "36 under 36" by the Jewish United Fund’s Young Leadership Division and Oy!Chicago.
