Evidence-Based Cognitive Rehab for Traumatic Brain Injury & Stroke: The First Year & Beyond
With such a high percentage of Americans affected each year by traumatic brain injuries and strokes, there is an increased need for information concerning what the next steps should be. The details of this extremely sensitive, yet complicated medical topic are not often discussed in a language that family members and loved ones can fully comprehend. Often the medical jargon used around this topic can leave those involved feeling confused and frustrated when trying to make the best decisions for treatment.
Chicagoland Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) is hosting this event in order to clear up confusion and hopefully give peace of mind to those who have been affected in some way by cognitive brain injuries and strokes.
During this presentation Dr. Sherrie D. All, from the Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness, highlights new evidence that has turned the tide on previously held notions of brain recovery, offering hope to the many people affected by cognitive decline.
