TV FBI Sniper Scene Filming Near School Upsets Parents
A Katie Holmes FBI drama pilot has been filming too close to a school, parents said.

CHICAGO, IL — Some parents have expressed frustration that a TV pilot was filming next to a North Side school this week. The FBI drama — produced by and starring Katie Holmes — was filming at the Seward Park basketball courts Tuesday. Actors portraying FBI agents were holding large guns during the scene, causing alarm.
The park is next to Immaculate Conception St. Joseph School, and several other schools are also nearby.
Some parents posted on Facebook that the city shouldn't allow TV crews to film such scenes near schools, especially given the mass shooting Feb. 14 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

Jennifer Kotecki told the Chicago Tribune that it's "unconscionable" that the city would allow the filming. Some parents also called Ald. Walter Burnett's office, according to the report.
Parents were notified of the filming, according to the Tribune report, and the city's Cultural Affairs and Special Events department also said notice was given to nearby residents and the school.
