Girl Sexually Assaulted By Intruder In Lincoln Park: Police

Police said a man broke into a home and sexually assaulted a girl. He tried to assault another victim in a separate break-in, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Police are looking for a man wanted in two home invasions in Lincoln Park early Sunday morning. Police said the man broke into a home in the 400 block of West Belden around 2 a.m. and tried to sexually assault a girl while she slept in her bedroom.

Around 20 minutes later, the man broke into another home in the 500 block of West Grant Place, where he sexually assaulted a girl who was asleep, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white man, 20-30 years old, 5-foot-6 to five-foot-7 and weighing around 160 pounds, police said. He has short brown or strawberry blonde hair and smokes cigarettes.

In 43rd Ward crime alert, Ald. Michele Smith said that in both home invasions, the doors were left unlocked.
