Police Respond to Shots Fired on Pine Grove in Lincoln Park
Police responded to the area around 3 p.m. Sunday.

LINCOLN PARK, CHICAGO, IL - Chicago police responded to a shots fired call in the 2700 block of Pine Grove Avenue, the Chicago Police Department wrote on Twitter.
Police clarified that the incident was not an active shooter situation. Witnesses on the scene tweeted about a possible gunman on the roof of a building.
No suspect was located and there are no reported injuries. SWAT teams were also in the area, according to media reports.
Officers remained on the scene searching the area where a shell casing was found, Kevin Quad, Chicago police spokesman told the Chicago Tribune. Quad also told the Tribune SWAT was called out of an abundance of caution.

Chicago Police Department, 19th District update: Shots fired on 2700 block of Pine Grove in the 43rd Ward. Police are reviewing video, and believe a male and female were testing a gun on a roof. Police share that this is an isolated incident, and no injuries have been reported. Their investigation continues. Updates will be shared as they are given.
Witnesses on scene tweeted about a heavy police presence and possible shooter in the area.
