The Joffrey Ballet Nutcracker Family Dinner
Celebrate the iconic holiday ballet at the upcoming Nutcracker Family Dinner on Sunday, December 6
As The Joffrey Ballet continues its milestone 60th anniversary celebration, guests will bid farewell to a holiday favorite, Robert Joffrey’s The Nutcracker. This holiday season will be the last opportunity for guests to enter into the magical world of Robert Joffrey’s 1987 rendition of The Nutcracker before Christopher Wheeldon’s re-envisioned version of The Nutcracker is welcomed in 2016.
Guests looking to make this final performance even more special and festive are invited to join the Nutcracker Family Dinner on Sunday, December 6.
The Nutcracker Family Dinner will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a matinee performance of The Nutcracker at the Auditorium Theatre. Following the ballet, guests will board festive trolleys to the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel for lively entertainment and dazzling activities the entire family can enjoy, dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

Often described as Chicago’s “family event of the season,” and now in its 18th year, the Nutcracker Family Dinner continues to be an essential fundraising event for The Joffrey Ballet’s productions as well as the Joffrey’s Community Engagement programs, which are dedicated to sharing the art of dance with thousands of children each year, regardless of income. This yearly event will kick off the holiday season and offer a remarkable day for families and children from toddlers to teens.
