Lincoln Common Sidewalk And Curb Closures Schedule

Here are the walking and biking routes you should avoid near the project site in Lincoln Park.

CHICAGO — Curb and sidewalk pavement replacement surrounding the Lincoln Common project site on the city's North Side will be completed in four phases until Nov. 8. Foot and bicycle traffic will be rerouted while crews work to complete the pavement replacement.

"Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as Lincoln Common comes to life," read an email update for the development.

The work will continue according the following schedule:

  • Phase 1: Oct. 8 through Oct. 18 - Curbs and sidewalks on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Orchard Street
  • Phase 2: Oct. 15 through Oct. 26 - Curbs and sidewalks on Fullerton (south side of street from N. Burling to Lincoln Avenue) and Lincoln Avenue (east side of street, from traffic signal south to Orchard)
  • Phase 3: Oct. 22 through Nov. 1 - Curbs and sidewalks on Lincoln Avenue (east side of street, from Boiler Building north to Fullerton)
  • Phase 4: Oct. 29 through Nov. 8 - Curbs and sidewalks on east side of Lincoln Avenue in front of construction site entrance

The development is scheduled to be completed in 2019. Its plans include condominiums, retail and office space.
